Ibiza is entering Phase 1: the start of the end of the lockdown.
Since the State of Alarm was declared in Spain due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ibiza has registered a very low number of cases. Until May 8th, there have been 163 confirmed infections, of which 120 have recovered and 31 are still active, with only 5 patients in ICU. Given this data and the excellent work of our healthcare services, cleaning services and the emergency military unit, Ibiza has entered Phase 1 of the lockdown easing which allows the opening of shops and restaurant and bar terraces at 50% of their capacity and the setting up of street markets outdoors at 30% of capacity. It also allows active tourism and sailing for sport, trips to the other Balearic islands and other economic and leisure activities.

We still have to be patient, but we are closer to enjoying the beaches, villages, food and culture of our island. This is why Hotel Ánfora is getting ready to open its doors as soon as it’s allowed and helping guests who were booked for April, May or June to change their dates easily.
