Free cinema on the beach of Cala Llonga
10Km from Es Canar and Hotel Ánfora, you’ll find Cala Llonga, a cove with a marked family atmosphere that will be offering a series of films with its “Cinema at the beach” until 26th August. This event is free and is every Sunday at 20:45h, when the sun has hidden and the screening is perfectly visible. The atmosphere is festive and is matched by the programme that is aimed at all ages. Until the end of month they will be screening the musical Mamma Mia (12th August) in Spanish and the films Moana (19th August) and The Secret Life of Pets (26th August). These last two will be in English with Spanish subtitles, as is usual in the Cala Llonga film programme.

Amante Ibiza: films and cava by the sea
For a more sophisticated option, Amante Ibiza offers its Noches de Cine (cinema evenings) until 11th September in Cala Sol d’en Serra. This event, that is only a few minutes’ drive from Hotel Ánfora, offers comfortable beanbags with back support on a terrace on a cliff overlooking the sea. The audience receives a glass of cava and a bag of popcorn as well as blankets to shield them from the evening sea breeze. The films are screened on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. and tickets are €30 per person, which should be booked in advance through their website. The programme mixes classic films with new ones: Y tu mamá también (14th August), Grease (21st August), The Post (28th August), Lady Bird (4th September) and Taxi Driver (11th September).
