Es Canar Market
Only at a few minutes walking from the Anfora Hotel, you’ll find the Hippy Market Punta Arabí, also known as the Es Canar Market. Apart from being the biggest in the island, it has a children’s area where the little ones do some kids crafts, play games or participate in workshops. It takes place every Wednesday (April to October), from 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM.
Slide between the trees
The Acrobosc park offers an activity that’s perfect to enjoy with your family at less than 3 km away from Es Canar and the Anfora Hotel. You’ll find five zip lift and bridge circuits: one for children from 3 years old, two for children from 6 years old and one for children from 11 years old. There is also a circuit for adults. You can combine the visit to this attraction with Cala Pada beach, where you can go for a pedalo ride or enjoy a quiet afternoon in its family atmosphere.

Visit an ecological farm
Children really enjoy visiting farms, especially if they live in cities. At only 8 km away from Es Canar and the Anfora Hotel, you can find the ecological farm Can Muson, where you can visit its vegetable gardens, pick up the freshly laid eggs or feed its rabbits, ducks, turkeys, little pigs, goats and hens. Apart from this, they also offer tastings of local products like butiffarra and sobrasada (local sausages), fresh goat cheese and homemade lemonade, amongst other homemade products.
Explore a pirate’s cave
Just a little more than 20 km away from the Anfora Hotel, you’ll find Can Marça, one of the biggest karstic cavities formed 100 000 years ago. The 35 minute guided tours show you spectacular stalactites, stalagmites, columns, roofs and compartments like the Temple, Budha or the cascade ones. You’ll also hear stories of pirates and smugglers, who used it as one of their main hiding places in the island, near Port de San Miquel.

Throughout the year, this borough keeps an agenda of family activities, like the summer markets, that include shows for children (like the one on Thursdays in Cala Llonga) festivals especially designed for the little ones, like the theatre festival Festival de Teatro Infantil Barruguet, celebrated each month of May.
