Ibiza 2021: new proposals and anecdotes
After the unexpectedly short summer we had in 2020, this season we wanted to add new activities and proposals for our guests to enjoy. This is why we started the summer by opening a series of painting and sculpture exhibitions that decorated the walls of the lobby and lounge bar from July to October. The artists dressing those walls were Victor Barrena “Boke”, Hize and Alehk Rod, María Iriarte, Cristina Ferrer and Juan Carlos Tur.
The other two new proposals for our guests this summer were two free activities that proved to be very successful: free yoga sessions by the swimming pool twice a week, and a cycle of outdoor cinema sessions with popcorn which we plan to implement every month next season.
Anecdotes from season 2021
This season, Hotel Ánfora wanted to help our guests interact with us in a faster and simpler way through our virtual concierge service, which they could use for all sorts of things: from booking a massage in our treatment room to ordering a taxi or hiring a boat trip. Besides equipping every room with one of these tablets, we also encouraged guests to book their room directly from our website. This way, they could check in online and also enjoy the other extra benefits that we usually offer guests who book with us directly.
Also, this summer we were proud to meet returning guests who chose us for their holidays once again and to welcome important figures, such as the Dutch gold medallist in field hockey, Lidewij Welten; the British European badminton champion, Lauren Smith; Spanish actor Antonio Pagudo; and former football player José Enrique Sánchez.

A summer with Spanish and Dutch accents
Summer 2021 drew in more Spanish and Dutch guests to Hotel Ánfora. These two nationalities were the ones who most booked with us, followed by Belgian, British, French, German, Italian and Swiss guests. This diversity has turned our quiet hotel in Es Canar with swimming pools, Jacuzzi, massage room, gym and restaurant into a cosmopolitan accommodation where everyone feels welcome.
